What this document is

STM.10 (แบบ สตม.๑๐) is a sworn statement by a Thai national before an immigration official. The Thai family member confirms how the foreigner is related to them, when the foreigner entered Thailand, until when the stay is permitted, where the foreigner lives and why an extension is needed.

The form is in Thai with English captions under the lines. It is signed by the Thai family member, the official and a witness. 2025 edition.

When it is needed

  • extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai national;
  • extension to take care of a Thai child or based on a Thai parent;
  • it is filed with the TM.7 application and the other family-extension documents; requirements differ between offices — check in advance.

Who fills it in

The statement is given by the Thai family member: their name (in Thai, as on the ID card), age, address, phone and occupation. The foreigner is the other party: name, age, nationality, relationship, date of entry, permitted-until date and address. Usually the Thai family member comes to immigration in person and signs in front of the officer.

What the form asks for

  • place and date (Buddhist Era year, พ.ศ.);
  • the Thai family member's details and address;
  • the foreigner's details, relationship (husband, wife, father, mother…), date of entry and permitted-until date from the stamp;
  • the foreigner's current address and the reason for the extension (two lines);
  • signatures — by hand, in front of the official and a witness.

How to fill it in with FoxDocs

  1. Open the chat and write in any language how the Thai family member is related to you and the ground for the extension.
  2. Send a photo of your passport stamp and the relative's Thai ID, or answer questions — the assistant fills the boxes and converts years to พ.ศ.
  3. Check the fields and download the PDF.
  4. Print it; the Thai family member signs at immigration in front of the officer.

Frequently asked questions

Who signs STM.10?

The Thai family member (affiant), in front of the immigration official; the official and a witness also sign.

Is STM.10 needed for a marriage extension?

Yes, it is a typical document for a family-based extension. The exact package depends on the office — check in advance.

How is the Thai relative's name written?

In Thai script, as on their ID card. The foreigner's name is in Latin letters, as in the passport.

Which date goes into "permitted to stay until"?

The date from the latest stamp in the passport (entry or previous extension), not the visa expiry date.

Which year do I write?

The Buddhist Era year (Gregorian + 543), e.g. 2026 → 2569. FoxDocs converts it.

Does it work for an extension based on a Thai child?

Yes: the relationship box states what the foreigner is to the Thai family member, e.g. FATHER or MOTHER.
