What this document is
The หนังสือยินยอม is a short letter of consent on a form of Thailand’s Department of Land Transport (DLT). The house owner (เจ้าของบ้าน) states that a named person may use the house as the parking place of a car or motorcycle — that is, give this address when registering or transferring the vehicle.
It is typically asked of foreigners and tenants: the address in the vehicle registration must be supported, and the house does not belong to the vehicle owner. The form is one page, in Thai only.
Who fills in and signs it
- the house owner — gives consent and signs as “ผู้ยินยอม (เจ้าของบ้าน)”;
- the vehicle owner living at the address — signs as “ผู้ขอใช้ที่อยู่ (เจ้าของรถ)”;
- signatures are by hand; the names are printed in brackets under them.
What the form asks for
- date (Buddhist Era year, พ.ศ.);
- name of the house owner and the house address: number, moo, sub-district, district, province;
- name of the vehicle owner;
- vehicle type — car or motorcycle — and the registration number.
What to attach
- a copy of the house owner’s house registration book (ทะเบียนบ้าน) signed as a true copy;
- a copy of the house owner’s ID card signed the same way.
This requirement is printed in the note on the form. Other documents (passport, residence certificate, vehicle registration book) depend on the procedure — check with the DLT office.
How to fill it in with FoxDocs
- Open the chat on this page and write who owns the house, the address and which vehicle you have.
- The assistant fills the boxes in Latin letters and converts the year to พ.ศ.
- Check the fields and download the PDF.
- Print it, sign it together with the house owner and attach copies of his documents.
